Clinton Little League

Clinton Little League is located in the village of Clinton, New York, and was established in 1967. We are committed to being an organization that provides a positive and rewarding experience for volunteers, coaches, parents, and players.

This rewarding experience focusing on:

* Having fun playing the game of baseball

* Feeling like part of the team regardless of performance or skill level

* Learning life lessons that will aid them both on and off the field

* Maturing in our abilities to cope with emotions of both winning and losing

*Willingness to improve as a player.

We are committed to developing a culture where volunteers, coaches, parents, and players work together to achieve our mission.

We will encourage a positive atmosphere by emphasizing good sportsmanship and showing support and patience for all athletes and volunteers.

Our divisions provide Pre-Kindergarten to Seventh-Grade options with Baseball and T-Ball.

History of the Clinton Little League

AGE	ELEGIBILITY - Age on 8/31/2023 for Baseball - Age on 1/1/2023 for Softball
4/5 yr olds	All players should register for tee ball. .
6 yr old	First time players should register for tee ball. Kids with one or more year of experience should register for Minor B (coach pitch). .
7 yr old	First time players should register for Minor B (coach pitch). Players who can reliably play catch at a distance of about 30 feet and can hit a pitched ball may sign up for Minor A (machine pitch & player pitch). .
8 yr old	First time players may sign up for Minor B (coach pitch) or Minor A (machine & player pitch) based on their comfort with throwing and catching a ball. .
9 yr old	First time players may sign up for Minor B (coach pitch) or Minor A (machine & player pitch) Players who sign up for Minor A must attend assessments, and any players not drafted onto a Minor A team will be reassigned to Minor B. Players must play Minor A or higher to be eligible for post-season tournament teams (“All Stars”). .
10 yr old	Players may sign up for Minor A or Majors depending on their ability and experience. Most 10 year olds play Minor A, but more advanced players may try out for Majors. All players must attend assessments. Players who attend Majors assessments but are not drafted to a Majors team will be assigned to Minor A. Players must play Minor A or higher to be eligible for post-season tournament teams (“All Stars”), and must play Majors to be eligible for the 12-under team. .
11 yr old	Players should sign up for Majors, although inexperienced players may play Minor A. All players must attend assessments. Players who attend Majors assessments but are not drafted to a Majors team will be assigned to Minor A. Players must play Minor A or higher to be eligible for post-season tournament teams (“All Stars”), and must play Majors to be eligible for the 12-under team. .
12 yr old	All players must play Majors, no exceptions. All players must attend assessments and all registered 12 year olds will be drafted onto a Majors team. Players will be eligible for post-season tournament teams ("All Stars").
